Privacy policy

Private by design.

Effective date: 28 August 2026

Summary

PulseKernel has no account, advertising, analytics, or tracking. It does not transmit dashboard readings or manually entered battery-reference values to the developer or any third party.

Information processed on your device

PulseKernel processes supported iOS system and process signals, including device CPU activity, the app's CPU and memory use, Apple's thermal pressure state, battery charge and charging state, Low Power Mode, storage capacity, and aggregate download and upload byte counters from active network interfaces.

The network display measures byte totals and transfer rates. It does not inspect packet contents, destinations, domain names, or browsing history. Optional battery maximum-capacity and cycle-count references are also processed only inside the app.

Local storage and retention

PulseKernel keeps a rolling history covering up to the previous hour while used in the foreground. Manually entered battery-reference values remain until edited or cleared. These records stay in the app's local container and are removed when the app and its data are deleted.

Your operating-system backup settings may cause app-container data to be handled by an Apple device or backup service independently of PulseKernel. The developer does not receive that backup data.

Data collection and sharing

PulseKernel does not send dashboard readings, local history, or battery-reference values to a developer-operated server. It includes no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, or cross-app tracking technology, and it does not sell or share personal information.

Device permissions

PulseKernel does not request location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or Bluetooth access. It uses public system interfaces that do not require those permissions.

Support correspondence

If you voluntarily contact support, information in your message is used only to investigate and respond. Do not include information you do not want processed in support correspondence.

Children's privacy

PulseKernel does not knowingly collect personal information from children or other users because it does not collect information from the app.

Changes and contact

If PulseKernel's data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before the changed version is released. Questions can be sent to contact@iphonotype.com.
